Project Overview

Low Carbon Energy, were contacted by Breathe Energy, a company working with Long Clawson Dairy to carry out a wider decarbonisation of the site. Working with Breathe, Low Carbon designed a tailored solar PV system suited to Long Clawson’s individual needs.

The project consists of 891 LONGI 450w panels and 3 Solis inverters. Producing 368,000 kWh of clean energy a year and saving 71 tonnes of carbon from being released into the atmosphere, equivalent of planting 3,266 trees.

The project became fully operational in the early stages of 2023.

Discussing the installation, project manager on site Stephen Wren said “Low Carbon attended site in the Summer of 2022, from the start I knew there was going to be no issues with the installation. We had a pre-start meeting with the management and team and my site team, it went very well, and we were talked through every step of the installation and when materials were going not be delivered to site and the requirements for this. I received the RAMS in plenty of time for them to be reviewed, so with only minor alterations, they were approved, and the operatives started on site.  From day one the operatives acted in a very professional manner, nothing was too much trouble, and the morning briefing was a pleasure. Every step of the installation was communicated to the Project Manager and managed within the realms of the supplied RAMS.

There were no H&S incidents, and it was a pleasure working with the operatives and the project looks brilliant, so thank you and all your team for a thoroughly good job.”
