Low Carbon are finalists for multiple business awards

13th June 2019

Low Carbon Energy prides itself on a long history of delivering quality solar panel solutions in the UK, and has now become a frontrunner for several prestigious awards in Burnley and the wider Lancashire area. Specifically, Low Carbon is in the running for both Small Business of the Year and Green Business of the year at the Be Inspired Business Awards, the Growing Business of the Year at the Burnley Business Awards.

The Be Inspired Business Awards

First established in 2006, today the BIBAS comprises Lancashire’s largest and longest-running business awards programme; a highly prestigious set of accolades commonly referred to as ‘the one they all want to win’. It not only provides a platform for fantastic businesses and inspiring individuals to be recognised, and fuels innovation, cultivates excellence and drives growth throughout the Lancashire economy.

The awards are fiercely competitive, to the extent that even becoming a finalist is often regarded as an impressive achievement in itself amongst the Lancashire business community. Thousands of entrepreneurs have entered since the awards’ inception in 2006, with more than 10,000 guests having been welcomed to the annual ceremonies over the years. Low Carbon’s nomination for two awards is no small source of pride for the company.

Entering the awards means candidates must submit a paper entry, present themselves for an interview with the panel, and even take one of the judges on a short tour of their business premises. Now, throughout the May/June period, judges are making their final deliberations.

The awards ceremony itself will be held on Friday the 13th of September, and is regarded as one of the biggest events in the Lancashire business calendar.

Burnley Business Awards

Low Carbon Energy is also a finalist for the Growing Business Award at the Burnley Business awards, organised by Burnley Council to reward and celebrate the achievements of local businesses and individuals.

Burnley Council chief executive, Mick Cartledge said: “The ceremony gets bigger every time and we are expecting around 560 guests this year. It’s a great way to acknowledge and celebrate our successful businesses and their workforces, and the event is a key diary date in Burnley’s business calendar.”

The awards night for the Burnley Business Awards will be held at the impressive Towneley Hall, with lavish food, fantastic entertainment and a glittering marquee on the grounds. It’s held on the 20th of June, which means there’s just one week to go!

Whether or not Low Carbon Energy wins the award, the team are honoured to count themselves as part of Lancashire’s thriving business community, and plan to continue delivering services for domestic and commercial solar panels with the same high standards of diligence and customer service that clients have come to expect.
